The psychology school-clinics have diversified their interventions to attend the extensive waiting list for individual psychotherapy, with the creation of different care devices. With this, we aim to investigate the perspective of children and parents about an open group of children developed in a psychology school-clinic. It is a qualitative research, undertaken through the Thematic Drawing-and-Story Procedure, followed by inquiry and analysis of data from the psychoanalytic framework. We interviewed 9 children and 7 family members, and the results were divided into categories, discussing divergences and convergences between the perspective of children and their caregivers. It was observed that the group presented itself as a ludic space, welcoming and establishing bonds of friendships, with limitations concerning the contact with the relatives and the heterogeneity of the open groups.
