Abstract: In this article the author discusses the concept of resignification and determinism in the early works of Freud, and seeks a rapprochement between these terms and the psychoanalytical clinic. The discussion incorporates theoretical proposals that conceive the psychic apparatus as always open to the possibility of new meanings. The work is accompanied by a brief explosion of a case in which the resignification presents spontaneously and illustrative.
