Abstract: This study focuses on the significant moment of psychologist training through the practice of psychodiagnosis, conceived from the abandonment of the positivist paradigm and the adoption of an intersubjective perspective, which requires the refinement of clinical strategies capable of fostering emotional communication from the initial interviews. Objective: We aim to examine the clinical potential of using the Thematic Drawing-and-Story Procedure to facilitate the establishment of meaningful emotional communications in initial interviews conducted by undergraduate students. To this end, narratives produced by students regarding psychodiagnostic sessions in which the referred Thematic Drawing-and-Story Procedure is used will be psychoanalytically analyzed. Four narratives will be studied in group clinical supervision with the students and the supervisor/researcher. Subsequently, the data obtained from the narratives and supervision will be analyzed from a Winnicottian theoretical perspective, investigating the transitional nature of this dialogical resource.
