Abstract: Given that adolescence is marked by numerous changes, we believe it is necessary for clinical psychology to examine the individual at this stage of human development. Thus, we investigated the collective imaginary of youth regarding adolescence in contemporary times. To this end, we contacted one hundred ninety-seven students from the eighth grade to the third year of high school and asked them to individually create the Drawing-and-Story Procedure based on the theme “an adolescent today”. For this study, we selected the ten drawing-stories that explicitly mentioned the use of branded clothing. From this material, we identified a field of meaning, which we named “Marked World”. We thus understood that young people live in a world where the other is defined, valued, and included based on the brand of clothing worn.
