Objective: To analyze the feelings of children in the face of the corona vírus pandemic. Qualitative, descriptive, exploratory study, carried out in a private school in the interior of Bahia, with children aged between 6 and 8 years. Method: Drawing-and-Story Procedure (D-E), survey and semi-structured interview were used for data collection. For processing and analysis, IRAMUTEQ software and Bardin’s Content Analysis technique were applied. Results: From the analysis, it was possible to identify two categories: feelings related to social distancing and the experience of individual protection measures. Conclusion: The study provided an opportunity to express the negative feelings experienced by children in the context of the pandemic, the experiences of social distancing and the health measures imposed throughout this period. The need to welcome this group during and after the experience of a pandemic is highlighted, with special attention to mental health, as well as strategies that can mitigate the damage of social restriction.
