Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present partial results of research in psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy conducted in the context of the Clinic-School of the Lutheran University of Brazil. Specifically, we discuss the care with children from the perspective of the patient, in their understanding of treatment and its relationship with the therapist. The study was carried forward with four participants, aged between seven and ten years old, with more than six months of treatment or Thematic-Drawing-and-Story Procedure. The results suggest the need to carry out research in psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy by researchers in training as a way to evaluate and qualify the process.
