The authors made a research on the main publications about projective techniques of family-drawings, with the purpose of determining its origin, its development process, its multiple forms and variations, its main systematizers and releasers. They give a general idea of the research development and the clinical use of this value over the 60 years of its existence. They highlight, particularly, the Drawing-of-Family-and-Story Procedure (DF-E) introduced by Trinca.
