Abstract: This paper is based on the concept of superlative women, the idea that women with double working hours (paid and unpaid) feel, somehow, forced, coerced and/or pressured to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them with maximum excellence. For a long time it was up to men to choose a job and to women to follow the dictates of biological subjection: motherhood, dedicating themselves, therefore, to their offspring, husband and home. Today, many women face the burden of expanding roles. The goal of this study was to understand, in this scenario, how the participant, being a woman, mother, wage earner and entrepreneur, experiences these roles and how the double journey can impact their biopsychosocial well-being. The method chosen was a single case study, with qualitative analysis. The hypothesis was an overload of tasks and facing it, the following instruments were used: open interview, Rosenberg’s Self-Esteem Scale, Sociodemographic Questionnaire and The Thematic Drawing-and-Story Procedure. The results confirm the hypothesis and alert to the consequences of the sexual division of labor. It can be concluded that such naturalization of reproductive work directly and indirectly impacts the participants’ self-esteem and leads to physical and mental exhaustion. Finally, it is worth mentioning that this analysis, which is based on a subjective experience, corresponds to a specific socioeconomic and cultural context, which cannot be generalized.
