Young apprentices are vulnerable to specific adversities of reconciling work and school. This study seeks to identify the risk and protective factors and the coping strategies present in the resilience processes of 29 young apprentices, aged between 15 and 21 years. The instruments used to analyze these factors were the Wagnild and Young’s Resilience Scale, the Thematic Drawing-and-Story Procedure and an interview. The main results showed medium-average resilience indicators, being lack of time and negative sibling figures the main risk factors into their daily life, the Social appreciation of being employed and positive brotherly figures were the main protective factors. The main coping strategies were rationalization and investment in close relationships.
